‘Coblos’ means to perforate.

In Indonesia during the New Order regime, ‘coblos’ relates to voting for someone by perforating an election symbol. Back then, the symbols were three. Not that many.

News channel on cable such as BBC World News, Al Jazeera (English), CNN and others have help my work a lot.

Not only have these news channels provided me with the latest current news but also a glimpse of trends in the vocabulary entries i.e. words in use in the country where English is used. Although it may not appear to be a perfect point of reference, these broadcasts do help a lot in making the source language closer to us, translators.

I just hope the range of providers for these English news service be more merrier, with other news channels participating in the arena. Special note do need mentioning such as  CCTV 9, Arirang, DW TV, CNBC, ABC and more. These channels do give a mix of reference on the usage of English in other parts of the world.
